Crane Melon Barn Wedding - Sonoma County - Wedding Photos
On May 30th, 2015, Rachael and Brian Marsili tied the knot in a wedding that was as spirited and heartfelt as it was stylish. With the bridal party donning cowboy boots and hats, this celebration blended rustic charm with a dash of country flair. One of the standout moments? The bridal party portraits featuring matching his-and-hers shotguns—playful, bold, and uniquely them.
As the day unfolded, it quickly became clear that I wasn’t the only one doing a little “shooting.” Flasks of Single Barrel Jack Daniels made frequent rounds, adding a jovial spirit to the festivities. It was an atmosphere of pure joy, laughter, and love—a gathering of genuinely kind and fun-loving people, each one thrilled to be part of the couple’s big day.
Friends and family had traveled from far and wide to be there, a testament to how deeply Rachael and Brian are loved. The morning preparations were split between two locations—Brian, his father, and the groomsmen got ready at the Barn, while Rachael and her bridesmaids enjoyed the pre-wedding buzz at her aunt’s home in Petaluma. A huge shoutout to Emily Davis of Pure Light Photography for capturing every detail so beautifully. One of my favorite shots? A candid moment in the bathroom that feels straight out of a movie—real, raw, and absolutely perfect.
The Crane Melon Barn, surrounded by lush vineyards, provided an idyllic setting for the day’s portraits. The golden light, open skies, and rustic textures were a photographer’s dream. More importantly, it was a fitting backdrop for a couple as genuine and beautiful as Rachael and Brian.
Photographing their wedding was an absolute pleasure. Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventure as they begin this new chapter in Sonoma County.
